Irma Méndez de Hoyos
Irma Méndez de Hoyos is a full-time researcher and professor at Flacso Mexico as well as Secretary of Academic Affairs of the Mexican Association of Political Sciences. She completed a B.A. in Public Administration and Political Science; an M.A. in Public Policy at the University of London, Queen Mary and Westfield College in the UK; and a Ph.D. in Government from the University of Essex.
She teaches on political parties and elections in Mexico and Latin America, as well as comparative public policy and social sciences at Flacso Mexico since 2003. Dr. Méndez de Hoyos also teaches at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE), the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She is a regular instructor at several electoral bodies at both the federal and local levels. Recently she was a Visiting Professor at the University of Oxford and the University of Essex in the UK.
Irma is a member of the Mexican Society of Electoral Studies (SOMEE), the Latin American Studies Association (LASA), the Latin American Association of Political Science (ALACIP), the American Political Studies Association (APSA) and the International Political Science Association, (IPSA). She belongs to the National System of Researchers, level II.
Georgina Flores Ivich
Georgina Flores Ivich is a full-time researcher and professor at Flacso México. She teaches political communication, public opinion, and quantitative methods. She has a master’s degree in Social Sciences from Flacso México and she is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She has participated in several applied research projects funded by USAID, RAND Corporation, Fundación Telefónica, INMUJERES, and Flacso México. Ms. Flores Ivich is currently working on a research project on the electoral and institutional effects of corruption scandals in Latin America.
Rodrigo Salazar Elena
Rodrigo Salazar Elena is a full-time researcher and professor at Flacso Mexico and Director of the Flacso Mexico Methods Laboratory. He has a master's degree in Social Sciences from Flacso Mexico and a Ph.D. in Political Sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He teaches courses on political theory, political behavior, and social sciences methods and techniques.
His research interests are populism in Latin America and the effects of presidential reelection on government performance in Mexico and Latin America. He belongs to the National System of Researchers, level I.

Jacqueline Plascencia Roig is the Assistant Coordinator of the Flacso Mexico Methods Laboratory and the IPSA Flacso Mexico Summer School since 2019. She is responsible for the logistics and coordination of all Summer School activities. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Instituto Superior de Cajeme and an MBA from the Instituto Suizo University.

Khemvirg Puente Martínez is Coordinator at the Social and Political Science Postgraduate Program of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He is a full-time professor in political science at the Social and Political Science Faculty of UNAM. He has a Ph.D. in Political Sciences from the University of Hull (UK) and a master’s in political and Social Studies (UNAM). He teaches courses of Political representation, parliamentary studies, and social sciences research methods and techniques.
He research interest are parlamentary aspects, transparency, open government and accountability.

Marianna Jaramillo Aranza is Academic exchange Coordinator at the Social and Political Sciences Postgraduate Program of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Professor Jaramillo has a PhD Candidature in Sociology, a master’s in political and Social Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, all of them coursed at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She teaches courses on social sciences research methods and techniques, and sociological theory.
Her research interests are Sociological theory and politics, history, and memory with and emphasis in dictatorships and social movements in Latin America.
